The 1972 model was the last year that the Corvette featured chrome bumpers front and rear, marking an end to an era. This 1972 Corvette was also the last year with removable rear window for a total open air driving experience, while still maintaining the security of the T-top roof structure. Under the voluptuous L88 hood is a healthy 454 cubic inch Big Block engine mated to a TH400 automatic transmission. The tidy engine compartment features an aluminum radiator with electric fan, power steering, chrome alternator, Mallory Comp S/S distributor and coil, polished valve covers, Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum intake, dual feed carburetor, chrome open-element air cleaner and power four-wheel disc brakes.
