Cars for Kids Automobile ShowCars for Kids Automobile Show October 8, 2023 Rain Date: October 15, 2023 Sponsored by the Valley Collector Car Club and the Litchfield Hills Historical Automobile Club, the 10th Annual Cars for Kids Automobile Show will be held at CJR in Litchfield, 550 Goshen Road. Gates open for show cars at 8 AM. Entries are $10 per car. Dashboard plaques will be given to the first 100 registrants and exhibitor gift bags to the first 200. Judging will be from 10:30 AM 1:30 PM and more than 20 trophies will be awarded at 2:30 PM. Spectator parking opens at 10 AM. Admission is $5 per car. Breakfast sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs, and hot and cold beverages will be sold. A scrumptious, signature bake sale will be conducted by The Litchfield Aid of CJR. Children and families will enjoy farm tours and hay rides. Visitors may purchase eggs, chrysanthemums, and produce, including, pumpkins, gourds and squash grown by students, at CJRs roadside Farm Market. Products from vocational classes, including culinary arts, woodshop, and fine and creative arts, will also be featured. Proceeds from this event will support CJRs care, treatment and education services for children, youth and families in locations throughout the state. It takes tens-of-thousands of dollars annually to keep the team going, and the students are holding this show to offset much of those costs. Please consider coming This years show will again include a fantastic live music show, including appearances by The Doylestown Heat Jazz Band, Bill Monaghan, and C&T Duet offering a variety of music styles. The show will also include demos of the teams robot, a beer wall raffle and gift basket raffles, along with great food, hot and cold beverages and tempting treats. Its one of the most exciting and entertaining shows of the year. Show cars and bikes may arrive as early as 11 am. Show opens to the public and 12 noon and closes at 4 pm.
