In 1964, Chevrolet launched the Chevelle, a model that would become one of the brand's most successful nameplates in its history. Released as an attempt to meet rising demand for smaller vehicles, Chevrolet offered the Chevelle in several body styles and appointments. Most notably, the Super Sport, or SS, trim level, was Chevrolet entry into the muscle car segment. In 1966, the SS396 became a series of its own, growing interest and demand in the model.
This 1967 Chevelle SS is the result of a stripped to bare metal frame-off rotisserie restoration. All around the car it is obvious that nothing was overlooked in the restoration. Finished in Bolero Red with black interior, this is the quintessential '67 SS. One of only 867 SS 396 Chevelles built for Canada in '67, this car comes loaded with options. Options include tinted windshield, heavy-duty front and rear suspension, posi-traction, power brakes, power steering, Rally wheels, dual side mirrors, turn-signal tachometer, rear speaker, fuel package and wood grain steering wheel. Powered by a L34 396ci V8 tied to a 4-speed Muncie transmission, this Chevelle is the perfectly balanced build offered in '67.
