Looking for an honest piece of postwar Americana? This one-family-owned 1950 Dodge Wayfarer six-passenger two-door sedan is an all-stock, 1-family Minnesota survivor that still holds its own. It wears a green finish over a striped cloth interior and rides on stock 15-inch wheels with factory Dodge hubcaps and Coker wide whitewalls. The sheet metal is straight, with no major dents or dings. The paint is driver-quality but still retains a good luster, and the chrome and stainless still shine well despite some aging. Under the hood sits the original-style 230 CID Dodge L-head straight six paired with a semi-automatic transmission. It starts right up and idles smoothly, just as it did as new. The chassis is all original, and the floors are solid. Inside, the original interior is ready to tell its story. The door panels and headliner are in good shape, and the dash still has its factory gauges and clock. A few things will need attention, such as the backs of the folding front seats, and the floor is ready for the carpet of your choice. This Wayfarer is an enjoyable classic that needs very little. Drive it to shows and cruise nights as it sits, or take it to the next level.
