The larger 1600cc engine retains the familiar air-cooled Volkswagen layout while providing an upgrade over this model years original engine size. Substantial mechanical service was completed in July 2026. Work included fuel tank attention, a new tank outlet kit and fuel cap, a mechanical fuel sender, fuel hose work, and added hose clamps. The carburetor was removed and cleaned, jets were corrected, valves were adjusted, the fuel pump was replaced, ignition timing was set, and the carburetor was tuned. Engine oil service and a test drive completed the work. Auto Appraisal Network inspected and appraised the car in June 2026 at a $20,000 fair market value. That dated appraisal accompanies the sale, along with recent service documentation; it is separate from the asking price. Numerous body, trim, interior, and other components received excellent ratings in the appraisals condition report. Independent inspections are welcome, making this an inviting opportunity for a VW enthusiast who values both presentation and supporting paperwork.
