1990 Ford Thunderbird Super Coupe Supercharged Performance for an exciting driving experience When Ford introduced the Thunderbird Super Coupe, it offered a very different take on its personal luxury coupe. Under the hood was a supercharged and intercooled 3.8-liter V-6, giving the Thunderbird a performance-oriented character that set it apart from the more conventional coupes of its day. Add a five-speed manual transmission, and you have a car that puts the emphasis squarely on the driving experience. This 1990 Super Coupe is one of just 6,067 examples built with the five-speed manual transmission, making it an appealing choice for enthusiasts who appreciate a more engaging alternative to the automatic-equipped cars that dominate the market. Finished in black following a recent respray, this Thunderbird is complemented by a black and silver interior. The cabin features supportive bucket seats with lumbar adjustment, while working air conditioning makes it comfortable for everyday driving or longer trips. The Super Coupes performance credentials extend beyond its engine. Four-wheel disc brakes with ABS provide enhanced braking capability, while a Traction-Lok limited-slip differential helps put the engines power to the pavement. Recent tires are another welcome feature. The odometer reads 87,264 miles; however, actual mileage is unknown. For the enthusiast, the Thunderbird Super Coupe represents an interesting chapter in Fords history. With its distinctive powertrain, five-speed manual transmission, and understated black finish, this is a modern-era Thunderbird worth a closer look.
