Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is proud to present this 1976 Chevrolet El Camino, finished in a striking Blue exterior over a matching Blue vinyl interior. Combining the comfort of a passenger car with the utility of a pickup, this El Camino represents Chevrolet's distinctive approach to blending two worlds. Its classic body lines are complemented by American Racing wheels, adding a sporty touch to its recognizable 1970s styling.
Under the hood sits a 350 CID V8 equipped with an Edelbrock carburetor and paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission. A dual Flowmaster exhaust system adds a distinctive V8 rumble, complementing the El Camino's classic muscle-car character. Power steering assists with maneuverability, while power brakes provide additional stopping assistance during a leisurely drive.
nside, the Blue vinyl interior maintains the classic styling of the era, with a straightforward dashboard and seating that complements the exterior color. A Delco AM/FM radio provides entertainment along the way, while air conditioning adds comfort during warmer weather. Seatbelts and radial tires round out the listed equipment, making this El Camino an inviting choice for cruising around town or enjoying a weekend drive.
The cargo bed adds another dimension to this Chevrolet's appeal, featuring a sprayed-in bed liner for added practicality. An interesting piece of El Camino history is that the 1976 model belonged to the fourth generation, which shared much of its styling and mechanical foundation with the Chevrolet Chevelle. This combination of passenger-car comfort and pickup utility helped establish the El Camino as one of Chevrolet's most recognizable designs.
