Few American sports cars carry the history and reputation of the Shelby Cobra 427. This 1965 Shelby Cobra CSX6000 brings that legendary formula into the modern era as an official Shelby American continuation car, complete with a genuine CSX chassis number, Carroll Shelby's signature, and fewer than 700 miles.
Unlike an independently produced replica, the CSX6000 series was built under Shelby American's authority to continue the legacy of the original big block Cobras. This CSX Shelby stays faithful to that heritage with a period-correct Ford FE 427 cubic inch Side Oiler V8 paired with a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission. Black side pipes deliver the unmistakable sound of Ford's legendary big block, and Wilwood dual-piston disc brakes provide stopping power.
The Blue exterior features a chrome single roll hoop, black bumper jacks, and grey knock-off Cobra wheels with polished lips. Brand-new Goodyear Eagle Billboard tires complete the traditional competition-inspired appearance.
Inside, black bucket seats, racing belts, black-faced Shelby American gauges, and a Shelby wood-rimmed steering wheel create a cockpit that recalls the original 427 roadsters. Carroll Shelby's signature adds a special connection to the man behind the car, and the included Shelby American Statement of Origin documents its continuation-series identity.
For enthusiasts who appreciate the history of the 1965 Shelby, this '65 Cobra offers something beyond the usual recreation. With genuine Shelby American credentials, a 427 Side Oiler, a five-speed manual, and fewer than 700 miles, this 1965 Shelby Cobra for sale is a rare chance to own an officially recognized continuation of one of America's most celebrated performance cars!
