GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1966 Buick Riviera GS 455 for your consideration. This Riviera comes finished in beautiful Riviera White over a Blue interior with tasteful wood trim interior accents. Powering this Buick is the legendary Nailhead 425 cubic-inch V8 paired with an automatic transmission. This Riviera GS has just 19,672 original miles and is equipped with its original numbers-matching drivetrain. The car appears to have received a body-on restoration with fresher paint, giving this elegant Buick a beautiful presentation while retaining its original classic character. Additional features include a spacious trunk, operable hidden headlights, factory air conditioning, chrome front and rear bumpers, power windows, power locks, and more. The combination of its low original mileage, powerful ""Wildcat 465 V8"", luxurious interior, and distinctive Riviera styling makes this a particularly desirable example of Buick's personal luxury coupe. Drive this one out of our showroom or have us assist with shipping it to you anywhere in the United States! Don't hesitate to call us with any questions or for more information.
The 1966 Buick Riviera was part of the second generation of Buick's Riviera, a model introduced in 1963 to compete in the growing personal luxury car market. For 1966, the Riviera received updated styling that included a more formal appearance while retaining the model's signature pillarless hardtop design and concealed headlights. The Riviera GS, or Gran Sport, added a performance-oriented character to Buick's luxurious coupe, combining the model's refined styling and comfortable interior with the potent Wildcat 425 cubic inch V8. The 425 was Buick's largest production V8 at the time and helped establish the Riviera GS as a compelling combination of luxury and performance. With its distinctive design, hidden headlights, powerful V8, and upscale interior, the 1966 Riviera remains an iconic example of American personal luxury from the era.
