1968 Plymouth Valiant 2-dr Post Coupe. One crazy build and the power to weight ratio on this one is off the charts! 340 V8 stroked to a 416 and dynod at 700 hp!! Inday W2 heads by Ray Barton, custom grind-built cam .637, Holley pro dominator intake, Dual Quick Fuel 750 carbs stick out of the hood with an active scoop! Huge headers with dual exhaust. MSD ignition and a mechanical tach with shift light. Behind that is a built 727 with reverse pattern and manual valve body. Out back are 389 rear case axles with 4.56 gears on spool. No power steering and no power brakes. 4-wheel drum brakes. Billet specialty rims with 30X13.5 MT tires complete the look. The cherry on top of all of the power is the fact that after some transport damage, the car has been completely professionally repainted! Freshly polished stainless steel and trim and bumpers also installed as needed! The car now has show-quality paint and a crazy powertrain to match. Moving inside are Jegs bucket seats with quick release 5-point harness. The rear seat is slightly shortened due to Mini tubs in the back, and most recently that back seat was recovered to match the Jegs front seats perfectly. During the recent renovations, new carpets were installed, a new headliner went in, and when the windshield was pulled for replacement, the dashboard was also restored. Why stop there, the trunk was also refinished with the correct spackle paint and a new trunk mat on top. The battery and MSD box are in the trunk, but theres still lots of usable space. Despite all the typical racing gear, the previous owner never did take it down a strip, it was just used to attract a lot of attention at Cars and Coffee events and was only street driven. Now, its ready for just about anything. No cage in it, but the next owner can decide which direction to go with it car shows, the track, or just a fun Sunday driver! The car shows 13,000 miles, but with a major engine swap and overhaul and only 5 digits on the odometer, true milage is unknown.
