1968 Mercury Montego MX Convertible 429 Big Block
Now available at MGM Classic Cars is this beautiful 1968 Mercury Montego MX Convertible, finished in attractive red paint over a striking red and white interior. With just 3,248 Montego MX Convertibles produced for 1968, this is a unique classic that you simply don t see at every car show or cruise night!
Under the hood sits an upgraded 429 cubic-inch Big Block V8 backed by a stout C6 automatic transmission. Additional upgrades include power steering, Wilwood front disc brakes with proportioning valve, and a Champion aluminum radiator to help keep this big block running cool.
The exterior presents very nicely with beautiful chrome, trim, glass, and weatherstripping throughout. A set of Magnum-style wheels wrapped in Mastercraft Avenger GT tires gives the Mercury an excellent stance. The white power convertible top is in great condition and provides the perfect contrast against the red exterior.
Open the door and you ll find a very clean factory-style red and white interior featuring nice red carpeting, front seatbelts, a clean dash pad, and crisp gauges. An upgraded three-spoke wood steering wheel with a Cobra snake emblem on the horn button adds a sporty finishing touch.
