This 1967 Ford Mustang convertible pairs a light yellow exterior with a black power top and black vinyl interior, powered by a 289 V8 backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. 1967 marked Mustang's first major restyle since its 1964 debut, with a larger platform that opened the door to big-block power for the first time and a more aggressive front and rear treatment than the original pony car. Convertibles from this generation are less common on the market today than the hardtop and fastback, and this one keeps the classic black-top-over-yellow look that defines the era.
Under the hood, the 289 has been fitted with an Edelbrock intake manifold and a Holley carburetor, backed by long-tube headers for improved exhaust flow. Power routes through the 4-speed manual transmission and a 2.75 rear axle gear, a taller ratio geared more toward relaxed highway cruising than hard launches.
The car rides on drum brakes at all four corners, keeping the stopping hardware true to its era. Inside, black vinyl trim carries the exterior's black-and-yellow theme through the cabin, and a Kenwood Bluetooth radio brings modern audio connectivity into the classic dash without disturbing its factory look. The power convertible top raises and lowers as intended, dropping to reveal the black vinyl interior underneath.
For a buyer looking for a first-generation Mustang convertible with a small-block V8, a manual gearbox, and a straightforward set of performance upgrades on the induction and exhaust side, this one checks those boxes without straying from the car's original character.
