1993 Mercedes Benz SL500 Roadster in Malachite Green. Beautiful low mile example in excellent condition. A little unique for the year, the early production years for the SL roadster typically sported a two-tone paint scheme with contrasting lower cladding, but this car was ordered monotone, giving it a more modern look! A scratch here or there, and some very minor scrapes on the lowest part of the front bumper, but other wise paint is fantastic, glossy and smooth and factory original! A powered cloth top lays underneath the power retracting cover, and currently the removable hardtop is on the car. Powered by a 5.0 liter V8 making just over 300 hp and run through a 4-speed automatic transmission, this car is very smooth and quite powerful for the time and ran from 0-60 mph in 6.2 seconds " still considered quick by todays standards and in 1993, that would be sports car territory. Its also very luxurious. The leather is soft and the carpets are thick piled and very rich! The tan colored interior is a great contrast to the green exterior, especially with the real oak wood accents on the dash. Plenty of amenities, and lots of them ahead of their time for 1993. Inside youll find 10-way powered bucket seats, both with two-position memory including powered headrests! Other options include power tilt and telescopic steering wheel, cruise control, front and rear fog lights, headlight wipers, fully automatic climate control, AM/FM premium stereo with cassette, traction control, power retractable roll bar, power mirrors, power soft top, and even the cassette drawer lid locks when the door locks are activated! This car has no back seat but instead has a rear package shelf and storage compartments, all trimmed in the nicest light beige carpet. The trunk features a spare tire, jack and tire iron, the original safety kit and a 6-disc CD changer. The owners manual zippered leather kit has all of the original manuals, maintenance guides and user guides. The A/C blows cold and everything is in working order. The factory wheels have not bumped a curb and are in immaculate condition. There are no drips or leaks under the car either! The best part might be the fact that theres just 40,000 miles on this one! In 2008 the car was imported from the US. Still a beautiful car with iconic style, great to drive and priced well considering the extraordinary cost when the car was new.
