Description:
This Backdraft Racing Roadster was assembled in 2009 and is powered by a Roush 342R V8 linked to a World Class T5 manual transmission. The black fiberglass body has silver stripes, a roll hoop, a hood scoop, and side exhaust pipes with perforated heat shields, and further equipment includes a Holley carburetor, an Edelbrock intake manifold, MSD ignition, 17 Halibrand-style wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, rack-and-pinion steering, and front coilover shocks.
Interior:
The low-back bucket seats are trimmed in gray upholstery and wear Crow Enterprizes multi-link harnesses. Appointments include a carpeted console, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, and a fire extinguisher. The wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts a gray dashboard fascia with a VDO 220-mph speedometer, tachometer, and readouts for oil temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, coolant temperature, and voltage.
Exterior:
The fiberglass bodywork is finished in black with silver stripes, and further elements include a roll hoop, quick-jack bumperettes, a hood scoop, wind wings, and chrome windshield trim. The 17 Halibrand-style wheels wear three-eared knockoffs with safety wires, and they are mounted with 235/45 front and 315/35 Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. The car is equipped with rack-and-pinion steering along with a sway bar and coilovers up front.
Drivetrain:
Power is routed to the independent rear axle via a Tremec World Class T5 manual transmission. The Roush 342R V8 was rated by the manufacturer at 450 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque when new, and it was installed by Speed Fanatix of Pompano Beach, Florida, in 2009.
