1996 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT Z71 4X4 Extended cab. Bar none, this is the nicest example of a OBS truck that weve ever had in our showroom. Youre looking at a one owner truck thats been looked after with the utmost care. It takes true dedication for a person to maintain a vehicle to this standard for 30 years. Stepping into the truck is like getting into a brand-new GMC in 96. When the truck was purchased, molded fiberglass running boards were installed immediately, meaning there is absolutely no road rash any where on the truck. It also lived its life on pavement and in a garage. What you see is 99% flawless original factory paint that is so glossy and soft to the touch, its almost hard to believe. Lots of original accessories also were added to the truck including smoked headlight covers, taillight covers, grill insert, hood deflector, wheel arch chrome, and a solid tonneau cover that fits like a glove. The seal on the cover is perfect, and the box has been Line-Xd and features a low-profile bed weight for winter traction. A second set of new chrome wheels and tires are also included. All of the door jambs are clean as new, and the weather stripping is flawless. This is also the first year of the third door. The interior of the truck is sensational. Since new, grey carpets were cut and installed on top of the factory carpet, so its perfect. Rubber mats went on top of all that yet, so the truck has stayed very clean. Its hard to describe just how good the details are. The plastics, including threshold pieces have zero wear. The leather seats are soft as butter and blemish free. Even the center console looks as good as the day it left the factory. Its more than just clean and neat and tidy. Its PERFECT. We would take a guess that no one ever has had a snack or take out food in this one. Its very clear when a vehicle has been left to get dirty and then cleaned up later. This one shows all the signs of a vehicle that has been maintained clean since it was new. Beyond the fact that the condition both in and out is beyond spectacular, this truck is very well equipped. Under the hood is the totally stock 5.7-liter V8 with 4-speed automatic transmission. Just 146,000 easy kilometers on the odometer. The Z71 off-road package means specialized gas shocks, underbody skid plates and badging. The SLT pack includes power drivers seat, leather seating surfaces, A/C, tilt column, cruise control, AM/FM Cassette stereo with optional CD player, bucket seats and console, auto dimming rear view mirror, rear window defroster, power windows, power mirrors and power locks with keyless entry. Aftermarket command start has also been added. The owners manual is still in the glove box too. Topping it all off is the push button 4X4 system thats working just as it should. If an OBS truck is on your shopping list, we promise you wont find a nicer one around.
