Power comes from a professionally rebuilt 1968 Chevrolet 327 cubic-inch V8, rebuilt in 2005 with a .030-over bore, a mild performance camshaft, and an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, providing dependable power and classic V8 sound. Shifting is handled by a reliable GM TH350 automatic transmission, while a 1957 Oldsmobile rear axle, retained from the original build, puts the power to the pavement. The suspension has been modernized with a TCI Mustang II independent front suspension featuring a manual rack-and-pinion steering system, providing significantly improved handling and drivability. Braking is equally capable with GM front disc brakes and rear drum brakes, while American Racing five-spoke wheels wrapped in new tires complete the timeless hot rod stance.
