6.2L LS3 | T56 6 Speed | Coilovers | Vintage AC | Baer Disc Brakes | Turn Key Restomod
At LaFontaine Classic Cars we are proud to present a first-generation Camaro that perfectly captures what the modern Pro-Touring movement is all about a no-compromise 1969 Chevrolet Camaro restomod combining iconic muscle car styling with modern LS power world-class handling and everyday drivability.
Originally assembled in Los Angeles and born Glacier Blue this Camaro underwent a comprehensive custom build completed in 2021 with the goal of creating a car that looks aggressive performs at an elite level and can be enjoyed anywhere. Today it wears a stunning red finish accented by Yenko-style stripes and badging giving it the appearance of one of Chevrolet's most feared street machines while concealing a thoroughly modern performance package underneath.
At the heart of the build is a GM Performance 6.2-liter LS3 crate engine installed by Camaro Concepts and professionally tuned by the experts at Motorsport Technologies (MTI) in Houston Texas. Backed by a Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission this Camaro delivers the kind of performance enthusiasts dream about. Dyno sheets document an impressive 555 horsepower and 511 lb-ft of torque at the crank translating to approximately 472 rear-wheel horsepower and 434 rear-wheel torque.
The LS3 breathes through a custom intake system and stainless long-tube headers feeding a performance exhaust equipped with MagnaFlow mufflers. The result is a crisp throttle response modern reliability and an exhaust note that perfectly complements the car's aggressive appearance.
Unlike many restomods that focus solely on horsepower this Camaro was engineered to handle. The chassis was upgraded with subframe connectors a powder-coated front subframe Speedtech Performance GT tubular front control arms a Speedtech Extreme Torque Arm rear suspension system and Viking double-adjustable coilovers at all four corners. The combination transforms the driving experience providing the confidence and precision expected from a modern performance car while retaining the character that makes a first-generation Camaro so special.
To put the power to the pavement the rear wheelhouses were mini-tubbed to accommodate massive 345-series rear tires mounted on stunning Schott alloy wheels measuring 19x12 inches in the rear and 19x8 inches up front. A narrowed Moser-built 12-bolt rear axle equipped with a 3.73 limited-slip differential ensures power delivery is both effective and reliable.
Braking performance is equally impressive thanks to Baer four-wheel disc brakes featuring drilled and slotted rotors providing stopping power that matches the Camaro's substantial performance capabilities.
Inside the cabin was completely refreshed during the build and presents beautifully with black vinyl bucket seats matching rear bench and coordinated carpeting. Modern conveniences include Vintage Air climate control Dakota Digital instrumentation and a hidden Bluetooth audio system powered by a Stinger amplifier. The Dakota Digital cluster seamlessly blends classic styling with modern functionality displaying speed tachometer fuel level temperature oil pressure and voltage information with exceptional clarity.
This is not simply a restored Camaro it's a thoughtfully engineered Pro-Touring build that delivers the best attributes of a modern performance car wrapped in one of the most iconic muscle ca
