1984 Pontiac Trans Am Recaro Special Edition. This is one of the nicest Trans-Ams youll ever see. It was owned by just 2 people before being rescued in 2024 from a car port in Langley B. C. covered in moss. The car was completely rust free, but due to the paint fade and moss damage, it was completely stripped and restored to better than factory condition. The paint is glossy, orange-peel free and sensationally smooth. All new stripe kit and decals complete it. The factory wheels were also restored along with new raised white letter tires. The car is on consignment and is currently owned by a well-known and award-winning Pontiac specialist in Saskatchewan whose attention to detail is second to none. Having won awards for best engine bay at the most recent Majestics Car show in Regina, you can be assured that every last detail has been completed to perfection during the restoration. Trans-Am Recaros are exceedingly rare. Only 1321 of 55,374 were produced and very few of them would be left looking anything like this. They all feature the black and gold color scheme, Turbo style hood with functional air induction, fully loaded interior with Recaro leather seats, 6,000 rpm Tachometer, WS6 handling package, 305 high output V8, 4-wheel disc brakes, 3.73 limited slip rear diff and 5-speed manual or optional 4-speed automatic transmission. This one was also equipped with T-tops and fitted with rear window louvers. Apart from a sticky tachometer absolutely everything is in perfect working order. It also won 1st place in its class of 1980 and newer in Draggins Rod and Custom Car show in Spring of 2026. The interior is completely 100% factory original and in immaculate shape. It was completely disassembled and cleaned before returning to the car. The carpets have no wear and are currently covered in plastic after cleaning. All of the interior lights work just as they should. Stepping into this car, feels like jumping right into 1984! The T-top bags are in the trunk right where they should be. The owners manual package is also included with the car. The Recaro seats are in incredible condition and very comfortable. Being fully loaded options include power locks, power windows, power mirrors, all weather floor mats, tilt wheel, cruise control, variable wipers, air conditioning, full gauges, rear defrost, working Air conditioning, digital ETR AM/FM/Cassette with graphic equalizer, power trunk release and trunk privacy cover. There are no modifications on the stock interior, but under the hood is slightly different. The factory 305 H. O. is still available and can be included with the sale of the car but currently the car is sporting a completely rebuilt 350 with Speedpro Hypereutectic pistons, Molly rings a Melling performance hydraulic roller cam, Dart Iron 64CC heads, stamped steel 1.5 ratio rocker arms, Edelbrock Performer Intake, 750 CFM Quadrajet Carb, Accell Performance HEI distributor and Ceramic shorty headers! This thing is no slouch at all! The work was completed at Precise Engine builders Saskatoon. The Transmission is also a completely rebuilt 700 R4 with 2800 rpm stall, Trans Go shift kit and Corvette Servo. The whole package dynod at 385 H. P and 410 Lb-ft of torque. Thats just a little more than the 190 hp that it came with stock! Everything under the hood looks completely factory despite the engine swap. A full binder documenting every part and piece used during the restoration is also included with the car. There wouldnt be a better one around anywhere, and youll be the only one at any car show. Currently this is the only Recaro Special Edition available on the market in the country. Heres your chance to really stand out!
