1965 Honda CB450KO
VIN: CB450-1006428
The big news for Honda in 1965 was the introduction of their “Black Bomber” fitted with the motorcycle industries' first mass production engine with dual overhead camshafts. A 450cc twin cylinder engine rated at 43-45hp, and with top speeds of well over 100mph, it could easily keep up with the 650cc British twins, and is considered a cult classic today.
The example shown here was acquired by the current owner in 2014 with 23,600 miles showing on the odometer. It was then taken to Honda specialist Greg Goss in Escondido, where the bike underwent two years of restoration and refurbishing that included a complete repaint in correct black and light gray colors. It has since been ridden sparingly and problem free by the owner, and the odometer currently shows just over 24,000 miles.
