1966 Triumph T100SR
VIN: T100SRH42408
Triumph's T100SR, which stood for “Sports Road” was a 500cc twin that was made specifically for the American market. Introduced in late 1962 as a road going variant of Triumph's “Sports Tiger” competition model, it featured a single carburetor for easier maintenance, a four speed transmission, and was capable of a 100mph top speed.
The T100SR you see here was produced in the final year of the model's 4 year run. It was purchased by the current owner in 2007, shortly after having undergone a complete mechanical restoration. The bike then underwent a complete cosmetic restoration that included a tank repaint in custom emerald green and white, with both fenders repainted white with an emerald green center stripe, and a rebuilt seat in custom shades that continued the theme with the seat cover done in white and the side trim done in emerald green. (All repair and maintenance documents are provided with the sale.) The bike has since been carefully maintained and ridden sparingly, and the rebuilt speedometer currently shows 238 miles.
