2003 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet. Nice low Km example with just 40, 000 kms, which works out to 2000 kms/ year for the last 23 years! Iconic naturally aspirated flat 6-cylinder 3.6-liter boxer style engine makes 320 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque and in this case is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. With a 7300 RPM redline and the convertible top down, the engine sound is addictive. Porsche driving dynamics are some of the best in the world. Theyve spent the last 70 years perfecting the same basic rear engine layout, and despite being 23 years old, this is one of the most engaging and enjoyable cars to drive. Its a great balance of performance, handling and real-world sports car feel and feedback thanks to the 6-speed manual and rack and pinion steering. You can throw this car around any corner just about as fast as you dare. The car came to Rods in its factory dark metallic grey paint, but we decided to try something new with colored paint protection film (PPF) from Tint King here in saskatoon. The paint was fine to start with, but now Its just like brand new! They wrapped the entire car and did a flawless job. It looks just as good in person as it does in pictures. A set of 911 Turbo wheels from the same generation were sourced and transformed into the dark antique bronze you see thanks to Chad at Shield Coatings. This 911 is also very well equipped with headlight washers up front, a fully powered retracting soft top and an automatic rear spoiler that lifts above 70 kph or can be raised or lowered with the push of a button. Headlights and taillights are all nice and glossy still. The grey leather interior is still in good condition and compliments the sky blue PPF nicely. There are rear seats, but theyre not really usable, and do fold down to provide a package tray. The front leather seats are both 8 way powered and heated and are very comfortable with two position memory for the driver seat . The whole collection of owners manuals and guides are in the leather case still in the glove box. Like every Porsche, the ignition is to the left of the steering column on the dashboard " a nod to Porsches racing pedigree with Le Mans style racking starts. There are both front and rear fog lights on this car too. This originally an American car, which explains the 200 mph speedometer and U. S gauges. The dash is all still in nice shape and crack free. The center stack contains automatic climate control, roof controls, wiper controls, the factory CD player/Radio and a CD storage. The rear-view mirror is also self-dimming. The convertible top is still in very good condition and with a fresh detailing, the engine compartment, front trunk and upholstery is clean as new. A batter maintenance charger is included with the car. Great to drive, striking color, top down fun and its a 911!
