1971 Chevrolet El Camino, meticulously restored about five years ago with a fresh new 355 cubic inch small-block Chevy engine, rated at 300 horsepower and 364 lb-ft of torque. Equipped with a Holley 4 bbl carb, Edelbrock intake, Summit 1103 cam, Comp Cams hardened lifters, HEI ignition, and ceramic coated headers. The engine is paired with a 200R4 automatic transmission featuring overdrive and a 2200 stall torque converter with a Bowler lockup. Classic copper paint with a recently replaced vinyl roof that is just three years old. The front bumper, headlight bezels, and grille are in great condition, and the car rides on powder-coated five-spoke wheels with Cooper Cobra radial tires. The interior is equipped with a tan vinyl bench seat, which remains in good condition without visible rips or tears. The cabin also features aftermarket gauges, including a tachometer mounted on the steering column along with water temperature and oil pressure gauges below the dash, functioning properly. The Delco AM radio is present but does not power up. Additional restoration extras include a spray-in bed liner, a soft tonneau cover with functioning struts, and the inclusion of original yet uninstalled parts like the plastic smuggler's box, gaskets, and some miscellaneous panels. Mechanically, the vehicle has been maintained well with new components such as an aluminum radiator, newer battery, and a new master cylinder. The front brakes are in excellent condition, the rear brakes and lower ball joints will require attention in the near future. The rear end is a 10-bolt with 3.08 gears, which allows the vehicle to cruise comfortably at 70 mph at a low RPM. On the road, a smooth idle, nice rumble, responsive acceleration with noticeable torque, and excellent power steering are noted.
