1969 Pontiac Firebird 2-dr Hardtop. Repainted at some point, but still wearing its factory correct colors " Golden Rod Yellow, and a black vinyl top! This bird was built the 2 nd week of November as a 69 model year at the Lordstown Ohio plant. Very handsome with just the right amount of chrome on the nose, along with brightwork thats all still very nice. A passenger side mirror is awfully handy too. Paint is driver quality with only a few small chips here and there. Its unknown if the rear spoiler is factory, or has been added, but it looks good. All New Falken 5-spoke chrome wheels and BF Goodrich Radial T/As suit the car well. Under the hood is a 350 topped with fuel injection and backed by a th-350 3-speed auto. Plenty of new parts have gone in more recently including an Aeromotive gas tank with internal fuel pump, all new body mount bushings, new rear leaf springs and shocks, new disk brakes and frame stiffener brackets. A new Edelbrock intake was added when the fuel injection was installed along with electronic ignition and MSD coil. Theres power steering and power brakes on this one too. The interior received a new headliner when the Pro Car Bucket seats were added. Nicely, the rear seat matches the stitching on the new buckets. The center console is finished in wood grain, and the door panels are in very good condition. Dash is original, but crack free, but there is a more modern leather wrapped steering wheel. Basic gauges with dummy lights and a 5-digit odometer that reads 10,000 miles. The previous owner confirmed that in the 25 years hes owned it, it rolled over once making it 110,000. An 80s vintage Panasonic AM/FM Cassette is in place of the original radio, and aftermarket Oil, volt and temp gauges hang below the dash, above the center console. A FiTech electronic controller has also been routed into the interior. The trunk still has a mat, and is finished in undercoating. Well be doing some fuel injection tuning and a check through the shop before the car leaves, but if youre looking for a first gen Firebird, this is a great start.
