1968 Plymouth Road Runner 2-dr Post Coupe. Very cool restored car with newer paint, brand new interior and refresh under the hood! Dont find these cars this way often, but this is a very base model car and yes, a 2-door post, not a hardtop! The Fender tag breaks down as follows: w6 " built for Canada, D9 " Front Disc Brakes, H1 " Power brakes, 2/5 " drip rail mouldings, AX48 " 3.23 sure grip rear axle, D4S " Deluxe Vinyl Split Bench in silver and black, PP1 " Monotone Matador Red paint, UB " Upper door frames in black, RM21 " Road Runner, medium price, 2-door post coupe, 62 " 383 4-bbl V8, 3 " 4-speed Manual floor shift, 44 " F70x14 Redline steel belted radials, 104 " Jan 4 th build date 1968. Since arriving at Rods, the car has undergone restoration work under the hood with a complete respray of the 383 in correct peacock blue, along with a major tune up. Now everything under the hood looks great, including a Mopar battery cover. The fender tag is right where it should be. The car was painted a few years ago and still shows very well, with a final polish on the way. Recently 15 steel wheels with dog dish hubcaps were sourced along with raised white letter BFGoodrich tires which makes the perfect look for this base model car! Even a spare 15 painted the same is in the trunk along with the jack, tire iron and new trunk mat. Although the fender tag calls for silver and black interior, we decided to go with a more popular all black interior. Theres brand new carpets, headliner, dash pad and seat covers all installed by the pros here at Rods Hotrods. The windshield was removed and the dashboard also repainted in the process of replacing the headliner. An aftermarket SW oil pressure gauge was added to the instrument cluster years ago and still works. Everything else is in working order as well. With no power steering theres plenty of feedback through the wheel and the car is lots of fun to row through the gears with plenty of get up and go. It sounds fantastic and really does move! Not many around in this red color, but it suits the car well. 82,000 miles showing on the odometer, but with only 5 digits, true milage is unknown.
