Description: This Caterham Superlight R300 is said to have been built c.2003 at Kampea Motors in Sonoma, California, and it is powered by a 2.0-liter Ford Zetec inline-four with a TWM individual throttle-body assembly. The engine is backed by a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Exposed carbon-fiber components complement the green finish, and the car also has a roll hoop, a tinted windscreen, 13" multi-piece wheels, and a rear-mounted spare. Cockpit appointments include a carbon-fiber dashboard fascia, a MOMO steering wheel, racing seats, and Luke harnesses.
Interior: The cockpit houses fixed-back racing seats with Luke harnesses as well as a carbon-fiber dashboard fascia and sill covers. A fire extinguisher is mounted between the seats, and rubber mats line the footwells. The MOMO steering wheel sits ahead of a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges.
Exterior: The car is finished in green with an exposed carbon-fiber nose, fenders, and side mirror housings. Other details include a tinted windscreen, a roll hoop, a rear-mounted spare, and a side exhaust pipe with a perforated cover. Staggered-width 13" multi-piece wheels are wrapped in Avon tires. The suspension incorporates a wide-track front setup, a De Dion rear assembly with a Watt's link, and adjustable coilovers all around with Bilstein units up front.
Drivetrain: Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The 2.0-liter Ford Zetec inline-four is equipped with a TWM individual throttle-body assembly, an ITG air filter element, a finned oil pan, coated four-into-one headers, and a Lotus-branded ignition coil cover.
