1977 GMC Sierra Classic 2500 Camper Special Custom. This truck started life as a heavy hauler but now lives as a custom truck! Both the frame and box were professionally cut down while maintaining the original paint and patina, with only 2 small scars on each side of the box. The metal fabrication to do so certainly required some real welding talent. Under the hood is now a 5.3 LS and 4L80 4-speed automatic transmission. Large single exhaust dumps out under the truck, and it sounds killer. Power steering and power brakes plus a cold air intake. The paint is certainly all factory original with plenty of patina. A recent polish has brought back some of the color, but it certainly got that rougher look that a lot of people are after these days! There is a bit of corrosion on some of the lower quarter panels, but nothing major. New aftermarket wheels and tires bring a finished look to the truck. The interior has deluxe door panels and newer carpets. The dash has its share of cracks but features the Sierra wood paneling upgrade. The original headliner and steering wheel are excellent. New gauges are in place of the originals and integrate with the LS powertrain seamlessly. Theres only been 4 kms driven since the LS swap was completed. This build was just done! The original heater and AM radio are in place and working. Theres a switch for dual tanks, but weve yet to find out if theres still two under the box. Seat upholstery has held up well for its age. The truck has a cool look with big bumperettes up front and all original paint while being transformed into a shorty. Perfect truck to still use a truck, but with super reliable new powertrain and good drivability.
