The 2010 Brammo Enertia is an early production electric motorcycle that helped pioneer the modern EV bike market
Historical Significance:
Introduced at the dawn of the electric vehicle revolution, the Brammo Enertia was one of the first mass-produced, highway-capable electric motorcycles sold in the United States. It featured a lightweight aluminum monocoque frame, smooth silent torque, and maintenance-free operation — setting new standards for sustainable performance.
In a bold retail experiment, Brammo partnered with Best Buy to sell these bikes alongside electronics, signaling a glimpse into the electrified future of transportation.
The Enertia paved the way for Brammo’s later Empulse series and ultimately influenced future electric motorcycles by Zero, Energica, and even Harley-Davidson’s LiveWire.
