This 1939 Chevrolet Master Coupe is a steel-bodied drag-style build powered by a monstrous 509ci big block Chevy V8, topped with a Holley 256 supercharger and intercooler. It's plumbed for nitrous but has never been sprayed. The engine is paired to a freshly rebuilt Turbo 350 automatic transmission and backed by a narrowed Ford 9" rear end with 4.11 gears.
Built on a custom tube frame with roll bars, this coupe features fiberglass front fenders, steel doors, and a steel hood. The front suspension consists of A-arms with Koni adjustable shocks, while the rear features a 4-link setup with Strange shocks. Stopping power comes from drilled and slotted rotors up front and drums in the rear.
The wheels and tires are purpose-built:
Rear: 15" Strange S/S street wheels with massive 32x17.5 slicks
Front: 15" Weld Racing wheels wrapped in 165/80 tires
Inside the cabin, you'll find:
A modern head unit paired with Kicker speakers
AutoMeter gauges for speed, fuel, voltage, fuel pressure, oil pressure, and boost
An electric fan wired to a manual switch on the dash
With aggressive styling, big power, and purpose-built components, this '39 Chevy is a serious street or strip contender with a clean presentation and professional setup.
