This 1950 Mercury Series 0CM is a custom-built classic with just 1,685 miles since the full restoration. Finished in a deep pearl purple exterior over a pristine gray interior, the car sits on a stretched 1979 Buick Regal frame and retains an all-metal body with new metal floors and trunk pan.
Under the hood is a 350ci small block V8 producing approximately 325 horsepower, paired with a rebuilt Turbo 350 automatic transmission. Power steering, power brakes (discs in the front, drums in the rear), power windows, power trunk release, and an electric trunk opener all add to its comfort and drivability. Additional upgrades include a 25-circuit 12-volt wiring harness and a large 3-core aluminum radiator.
Custom bodywork includes:
Frenched headlights
Louvered hood with rounded front corners
1950 grille in stainless steel
Rechromed 1949 Lincoln Cosmopolitan taillights
Rechromed front and rear bumper guards and lake pipes
1957 Cadillac hubcaps with bubble centers
Diamondback wide whitewall tires
The interior features a custom dash with matching gauges, a new headliner, and a six-way power driver's seat with matching upholstery throughout. A modern AM/FM CD player sound system and a new dash insert made specifically for a '50 Mercury complete the cabin.
Between the visual presence, thoughtful craftsmanship, and drivability upgrades, this Mercury strikes an ideal balance between show car style and cruising comfort.
