Offered here is a striking 1957 Buick Roadmaster Model 76R Riviera 2-Door Hardtop, a rare and luxurious example of Buick's top-tier craftsmanship at the height of 1950s American automotive design. One of 3,826 76Rs produced. The Roadmaster was the only model with trunk and roof chrome moldings. The interior looks to be all-original. Presented in Shell Beige with Seminole Red, this Roadmaster is powered by its original 364ci Nailhead V8 engine and automatic transmission. This high-end Buick rides on wire wheels with wide whitewall tires.
The 1957 model year marked a turning point in design for Buick, and the Roadmaster was at the pinnacle of its lineup. This was the year Buick introduced a dramatically new look, complete with massive chrome accents, extended rear quarter panels, and the now-famous "sweep-spear" side trim. The Riviera designation applied to all Roadmasters except convertibles, making this 76R Hardtop an exclusive and desirable model.
