Description:
This 1978 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 was modified under prior ownership with a Vortec-based 408ci stroker V8 that is topped with a fabricated sheet-metal intake manifold and linked to a three-speed automatic transmission and a 10-bolt rear end. The body is finished in white with tri-tone graphics and features a hood scoop, a rear spoiler, and dual side mirrors. Inside, the bucket seats are trimmed in Saddle vinyl and accompanied by a center console, a B&M QuickSilver shifter, an AM/FM stereo unit, and air conditioning. Additional equipment includes a 102mm throttle body, an aluminum radiator with dual fans, coated exhaust headers, power steering, and power-assisted front disc brakes.
Interior:
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in Camel vinyl with matching door panels and carpets. The four-spoke steering wheel frames a 130-mph speedometer, a tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level, voltage, and coolant temperature.
Exterior:
The car is finished in white with tri-tone Z28 graphics, and features include a hood scoop, faux fender vents, bright exterior accents, and body-color front and rear bumpers. The 15 Z28 wheels are wrapped in 255/60 front and 275/60 rear BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.
Drivetrain:
The 408ci stroker V8 is based on a Vortec block and features a fabricated sheet-metal intake manifold, a 102mm throttle body, and a Holley oil pan. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission with a 2,800-stall converter.
