An early American automotive custom design with modern performance. Greatly improved handling thanks to a Mustang II independent front suspension with power rack and pinion steering. Modern performance needs todays braking with power front disc brakes. A 9" heavy duty Ford rear end with drumbrakes gets the job done. Power is a Ford 302 cubic inch V-8 with an Edelbrock performance intake manifold and a Holley carburetor. The Weiland aluminum valve covers is the perfect look for this custom. Let's not over look the Pertronix distributor and coil. Matched to a Ford C-4 automatic transmission with a Lokar shifter. The great rumble is from Hooker headers and 2.5" dual exhaust.
The interior features white leather seats front and back. Custom white leather door pans with embroidered "40 Mercury." The black carpet makes the white standout. The dash has the original gauge cluster. The 40 has power windows and an electrict trunk release. The trunk is fully detailed and houses the battery.
