The original Cruise-O-Matic transmission has been retained, resealed, and filled with fresh fluid. Supporting it is a suspension that's been rebuilt with new adjustable coilovers in the front, new leaf springs and shocks in the rear, and the car now rides on new tires. Other recent updates include a new starter and the addition of modern air conditioning, making this Thunderbird as dependable and comfortable as it is stylish.
The car retains its original character, with a 3.00-geared rear end and traditional four-wheel drum brakes. It remains every bit the early '60s cruiser, but with renewed drivability and confidence.
