1950 German VVR Driver's-Ed Breakaway Instructional Model
1950's GERMAN VVR, an original authentic 50's Mini-Car by "Verkehrs-Verlag Remagen- RH" used in the State required drivers education courses. It is approx 48" L x 24" W and is mounted on it's original display platform. It even carries it's original decal(s) with the 4 digit phone number "Telefone 8332 or 8333" and matching front/ rear license plates. You can insert a small battery to make some of the functions operate. Please see some of the different features in the photo's, such as: working 3-speed floor shift transmission, differential, clutch, starter switch w/matching key, choke, functional steering, brakes / e-brake, horn button, signal lights, F/R, headlight/ taillight switch, muffler and gas tank. Plus, chrome bumpers, headlights, taillights, backup lights, choke, foot activated dimmer switch for headlights, hard rubber tires with hubcaps, hood badge, muffler & tailpipe, 3-spoke steering wheel, faux: sectionalized radiator/fan, starter/generator, engine block, aluminum grille, carb. & air cleaner, etc.... even a dipstick. This was a lobby display at the Mount Dora Museum of Speed, near Orlando, FL which was sold and closed when the owner retired in 2019. Most of the Automobilia and Antiques were sold to large collections but, the owner retained a few items, like this, that he cherished.The Ultimate 1950's Collectible, seldom ever seen!
